Jimoh Ibrahim, Cross Rivers state commissioner of police suspected to die of Coronavirus

The Cross River State Commissioner of Police, Jimoh Ibrahim suspected to have died from the dreaded disease COVID-19. 

Reports state that, the police commissioner died on Friday, December 18, at the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Isolation Centre in the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, UCTH Calabar.  

A source close to the family, disclosed to Vanguard that Ibrahim was rushed to UCTH on Friday morning, December 18, where he later died of pneumonia complications.

“Nobody should tell you he died of COVID-19 but the doctors said he died of pneumonia.” the source claimed.

A police source said the CP was diabetic and had complained of not feeling well for some time.

“They have told us to report today at State Police Command headquarters by  3.00 pm to solidarity with him as he is to be given an award for excellent services but nobody told us he is dead.” the source said.
