Mobile policeman killed by hoodlums in Delta state

A mobile policeman was attacked and killed by armed hoodlums on Friday afternoon in Effurun, Uvwie council area of Delta state.

According to TheNation, the incident happened at about 2:30p.m along Jakpa Road, with details surrounding the incident were still sketchy as of the time of filing the report.

The deceased officer was detailed to an unidentified man who had stopped by a shop along the road to purchase some items before he was killed by the fully armed men.

It was however gathered that, the hoodlums were said to have zoomed to the spot in a vehicle, shot him multiple times and made certain he was dead before, driving away with his gun.

The Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya, confirmed the incident, but could not give details about the deceased officer.

“It is true. I don’t have any information but the truth I that a mobile policeman”.
