NCC stops the sale and registration of SIM

Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has requested broadcast communications organizations to stop the sale and actuation of Subscriber Identification Module (SIM).

This comes in front of a review of the Subscriber Registration Database.

In an explanation on Wednesday, Director, Public Affairs, Ikechukwu Adinde, said the mandate will be in actuality until the review is finished.

He noticed that the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, taught the NCC to direct the activity.

Be that as it may, an exclusion may be allowed if the national government favors.

NCC cautioned that resistance by network administrators could prompt withdrawal of working permit.

The assessment is to guarantee that the organizations consent to quality principles and necessities.
