Truck driver allegedly killed by tax collectors in Onitsha

A 25-year-old man identified as “Micheal Chimezie Okorie” was on Sunday allegely killed by speculated Revenue authorities at the well known head connect in Onitsha, Anambra state.

The deceased, a driver of an explained truck was allegedly being sought after by the suspected “income authorities” positioned at Head bridge Onitsha when he lost control and collided with a solid blockade in the territory.

The incident was allegedly caused by a weighty traffic gridlock in the territory as several oppressed youths hindered the highway with bonfire.

The Nation accumulated that the casualty was raced to a close by hospital where he was affirmed dead by a clinical specialist.

Police representative, Haruna Mohammed affirmed the episode, saying the Commissioner of Police, John Abang has requested for a full scale examination concerning the issue.
