Properties destroyed as fire razes seven shops in Ufuma, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The reason for the fire flare-up has been credited to a force flood following an electrical shortcoming.
Affirming the occurrence, the representative of the state police order, Haruna Mohammed said no life was lost and that the estimation of properties wrecked is yet to be resolved.
“On the 6/12/2020, there was a report of fire outbreak at Ufuma intersection in Orumba North LGA of Anambra State. The fire outbreak which purportedly began around 1:20am razed down Seven (7) lockup shops obliterating properties worth millions of naira.
In the interim, police agents connected to Ajali Division visited the scene and cordoned off the zone to forestall hooligans from plundering while the fire was put off by neighborhood volunteers.
No death toll and estimation of property decimated is yet to be resolved. Case under scrutiny to find out the conditions encompassing the occurrence.”
