3 Nigerian men busted with 220 grams of cocaine in India

Mumbai Police Special Squad on Thursday, December 3, busted a drug hawking organization, captured three Nigerian nationals and seized around 220 grams of cocaine worth over Rs 22 lakhs ($29,833.32)

The three Nigerians were captured from Malad and Royal Palm regions of Mumbai by the unique Squad of Deputy Commissioner of Police Zone XI alongside the Bangur Nagar police.

Following up on a hint, the crew laid a snare at Link Road in Malad and caught 38-year-old Uche James after he showed up to convey the stash on Wednesday, December 2, an authority said.

Upon search, 10.14-gram cocaine was recuperated from him. He was delivered in court and remanded in police care till December 7.

Afterward, the police group on Thursday, December 3, acquired Uche to Royal Palms Aarey Colony Goregaon and on premise of data he had given, a snare was laid to grab his associates.

Two different Nigerians recognized as Emeka Cyprian and Chukwu Joseph were grabbed at the spot. 210 gram of cocaine was seized from the two of them.

The police recuperated an aggregate of more than 200 gm of cocaine worth from the threesome, who were reserved under pertinent segments of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, the authority said.

Authorities from the unique crew said the capture could lead them to different sellers and help bust the coacaine hawking ring being run in rural Mumbai.
