Suspected killers of Israel Adeusi, the Olufon of Ifon in Ose local government area of the state have been arrested by the Ondo state chapter of the Western Nigeria Security Network, Amotekun.
Authority of the state’s Amotekun corps, Adetunji Adeleye unveiled this on Wednesday December 2 and furthermore uncovered that the suspects were captured by a joined group of security agents that raged Elegbaka timberland after the occurrence.
Adeleye said three casualties were safeguarded during the activity. He said;
“We brushed the woodland in Elegbeka and we can capture a few suspects and they are going through cross examination. We protected three casualties from the Elegbeka backwoods on the very night that the conventional leader of Ifon was murdered.
“On the ongoing grab in the express, our men, in a joint effort with the traditional security organizations, nearby trackers, vigilantes and the OPC went into the woodland and we had the option to make a few captures and those captured are going through different degrees of cross examination
“In the previous few weeks, Ondo State had seen increment in kidnappings, outfitted burglary and men of the Amotekun Corps went enthusiastically in a joint effort with other security organizations.
“We noticed a descending pattern subsequent to restricting motorcyclist (okada) around evening time so we needed to change strategies. That was the reason we dispatched the Operation Clean Up, which is exceptional watch over the niche and crevices of Akure and different pieces of the state.
“We captured around 15 suspects during the ‘Activity Clean Up’ that we started yesterday (Tuesday). A large portion of these hoodlums would be gone over to the regular security organizations for indictment where essential.”
