Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has totally loosened up the current time limitation of 10p.m. to 6a.m. forced on the state at the wake of the #ENDSARS protests.
Uzodimma declared this subsequent to surveying security circumstance and measures set up by security organizations to contain the anarchy caused during the dissent and the orderly exercises of criminals that went with the exhibit.
During the protest, public and private properties were devastated and some security specialists executed.
Reporting the expulsion of the time limit, Chief Press Secretary/Media Adviser to the state lead representative, Oguwike Nwachuku, cited Uzodimma as saying that the choice was taken after a cautious assessment of the security circumstance in the state and measures taken to check the overabundances of the #EndSARS protests.
He stated: “Having seen that the circumstance (danger) has astoundingly improved and with due discussions with security organizations, the state has chosen to absolutely loosen up the time limitation to empower the residents approach their ordinary organizations unafraid of attack or provocation.
He cautioned associations or gatherings to avoid anything, activities or inactions that will prompt any type of dissent and exhorted that where there is any explanation behind a dissent or parade, the gathering must acquire police license from the Commissioner of Police prior to setting out on any of such activities.
