Medical doctor arraigned in Adamawa for allegedly raping a married woman

The police in Adamawa state have charged a medical doctor before a Yola Chief Magistrate court for supposedly assaulting a married woman.

As per police examinations, the specialist, Phillips Duru, who runs a private center and furthermore works at the Adamawa State Specialist Hospital, Yola, supposedly assaulted the lady over the span of clinical checks in his private facility.

According to Guardian, the police investigator told the court during the consultation on Thursday, November 12, that the doctor propagated the demonstration in the lab of his private facility situated close to the state Specialist Hospital.

After a fundamental knowing about the case, the managing Magistrate, Aliyu Bawuro, deferred further hearing to November 26.

The state’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, who talked on the issue, said the offended party had announced the supposed assault, inciting the police to take it up.

“It is valid. The issue was accounted for to the police through a grumbling by the casualty who said she and her significant other visited the Specialist Hospital and met the doctor over a health challenge,” Nguroje said.

He also added that, the man was invited and afterward charged to court after due examination.
